Saturday night with The Cabarats, a fantastic band constantly sourcing inspiration from all over the world, with a particular passion for Reggae and Ska, as well as knees-up traditional music from Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Tonight is part of the Bloomsbury Festival!
Using a collection of intriguing instruments such as accordion, oud, keyboard and brass, no genre is safe from the band! Dub-infused rhythms and deep bass-lines collide courageously with exotic melodies, world instruments and infectious vocal hooks to form an alluring and energetic sound. They have appeared on one of the main stages at Boomtown Fair, performed on the BBC Introducing stage at Love Saves the Day, and their list of festival appearances include Camp Bestival, Tropical Pressure, and Goulash Disko in Croatia. In early 2023, they released long-awaited second album ‘A Fool’s Paradise’.
In support, Mr Morski’s broad influences and understanding of multiple musical traditions make for a unique songwriter with an abundant imagination. A hero in his homeland of Bulgaria where he fronts Django Ze, his solo show casts a spell of Balkan and Eastern European soul.
Jamboree food option: Our ‘Arepatoire’ kitchen is open from 6pm serving a delicious mix of Italian/Colombian food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish! Find the menu HERE!
