Headliners The Band that was Tuesday blend music-hall, punk, psychedelia and folk, evoking the legends of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, Syd Barrett and Tom Waits…

Applying a kitchen-sink philosophy to their instrumentation no two shows of theirs are quite the same. Expect musical saw, modular synthesis and pedal steel guitar and you won’t be too shocked by what you find. Deftly skirting the boundaries of good taste, they forge a curiously progressive style all of their own. Like a half-remembered show tune whistled from the surgeon’s chair, TBTWT are not quite sure from which vestige of memory this sound emerges. Equal parts crooner, shaman, wino and geography teacher TBTWT are Tom Stone (Vocals / Keys / Gtr / Effects), Mark Young (Keys / Gtr / Banjo / Musical Saw), Sonny Patten (Drums), Hugh Lovric (Bass)

In support, Lovell are a lo-fi alt-pop grunge punk-folk duo based in North London. They consist of singer-songwriter Hannah Lovell on vocals and guitar, with Kid Kirby on drums, vocals and clarinet. “Hints of Violent Femmes and The Roches” – The Clerkenwell ARTSlab
