A fantastic Friday night of Cuban Folk, Bossa Nova and Boleros from Sergio Marciano’s Latin Bridge, with support from ace Argentinian-Danish singer-songwriter Maru Jota.
Sergio Marciano’s Latin Bridge are a vocal and instrumental Latin / Cuban project created by the experienced musician Sergio Marciano Pereda. The band are always in a “Latin Key”, and showcase a traditional acoustic sound. Pereda was born in Santiago de Cuba in 1965. A member of the Nueva Trova since 1983 and the famous “Grupo Muralla” with which he made his first international tour in 1985, he moved to Havana in 1989, playing in several groups before arriving in Spain where he played, toured and recorded with the Stradivarius Orchestra, Ximo Tebar Band, Sonora Latina, Guachiguara, Quinteto Diapasón, T3s de Azúcar. Now based in London, since 2016 he has led his own band, The Latin Bridge.
In support is the brilliant Maru Jota. Brought up in Buenos Aires, the Argentinian-Danish singer-songwriter brings a fresh new look at pop, injecting reggae, jazz and an unshakeable positivity into her live set. Maru’s second album, ‘Nuevos Aires’ was released on May 10th.
Jamboree food option: The ‘Arepatoire’ kitchen residency at Jamboree ended on February 16th. A new residency will be announced soon. In the meantime we offer a selection of savoury foods such as quiches and salads.
