A very special concert of beloved rebetiko classics ahead of the bi-annual Rebetiko Carnival!

Collaborators from various London-based groups will unite to celebrate not only the New Year, but also the vibrant musical community, beautiful songs, and the enduring friendships that have kept us connected through both joyous and challenging times. They will perform beloved rebetiko classics, inviting the audience to join in and share the music. Whether you’re familiar with the lyrics or not, feel free to sing along! And if you don’t know the words or don’t speak Greek, just enjoy the rhythm and join in with a cheerful “La La La” – as we all do when we forget the lyrics!

“Looking ahead, in June 2025, we will once again host our much-loved bi-annual Rebetiko Carnival Festival across South England. The festival will feature UK-based groups, alongside special guests from Greece. Over the coming months, we’ll share more details about the incredible bands and musicians joining us for this event. Tonight is the first of many fundraising events to help make all of this possible. Leading up to the festival, we’ll be organizing outreach projects, educational initiatives, and community events that are open to all – regardless of nationality. These activities will offer something for the entire family!”
