Headliners Paprika fuse Eastern European, Balkan, Gypsy and Classical music in a whirlwind performance of frenzied virtuosity. With a line-up consisting of two accordions, violin, guitar, bass guitar, and percussion, their fiery melodies and foot-tapping rhythms are interspersed with lilting laments in high-energy sets, with the band specialising in bringing rare or lost traditional Balkan music back to life. “A must see!” – Cerys Matthews, BBC
In support, Mambo Jambo are a joyous whirlwind of roots music! The duo, consisting of Frankie (sax, vocals, clarinet, flute, guitar) and Pete (guitar, vocal, banjo, ukulele, tres – a traditional Cuban guitar, accordion) combine elements of jazz, world, folk and bluegrass!
