Let the conventions of time fall to the senses of magic and mystery, and join The Harlequin’s Carnival at Jamboree for a surrealist dream of a New Year’s Eve, featuring a fantastical line-up of visionary acts and performers, including absurdist electro-disco-punk band CHEWY SHE, skiffle-cabaret style 1920s jazz duo Devil’s Doorbell, internationally-acclaimed DJ and performance artist Q-BRA, host Tom Baker and more!
In the razzle-dazzle, exuberant style of the night, fancy dress, as well as props amongst the audience, is very much encouraged. Let your unconscious run free, and the straight world be dust…
The Line-Up!
Headliners CHEWY SHE are an electro-disco-punk band from London blending glittery disco grooves with punk rock energy. Known for wild, immersive live shows that mix humor, absurdity, and feminist themes, their performances feel like a chaotic, campy fairytale where the audience is part of the action. With sold-out shows and support from BBC Radio 6’s Cerys Matthews, they’ve toured the UK, challenging norms and making you dance while questioning everything- all with a wink and a killer outfit. After selling out their Halloween show last year at the Moth Club, they head to Jamboree for a full-on exciting fancy dress party!
In support the brilliant Devil’s Doorbell, featuring Nipper Lewis (Tenor Banjo, ukulele, Kazzumpet and vocals) and Jellylegs Johnson (Washtub Bass, Heel Tambourine and Vocals) will bring us the cheeky side of 1920’s Jazz. With their own unique skiffle cabaret style, and homemade instruments alongside tenor banjo, growling vocals and an impressive amount of dressing up, these cats love to entertain! The band live and travel on traditional narrowboats, performing at festivals and busking wherever they moor up along the canals.
London-based singer, songwriter, performance artist and DJ Kübra Uzun (aka Q-BRA) is an LGBTQIA+ rights activist working in the UK and also on an international basis on various platforms. Q-BRA are well-known for their genre-fluid DJ sets, which welcome everyone to dance together.
All will be held together by inimitable host, ventriloquist and Antic Follies Cabaret founder Mr Tom Baker.
There will also be a table buffet, with cheese, grapes, nuts and crackers for all!
Advance table bookings are also available for the night alongside event tickets.
Table for two incl. a glass of Prosecco each: £20 (4 tables available)
Table booking for 4 incl. a bottle of Prosecco: £40 (6 tables available)
