Echoing with a meaningful and sentimental resonance throughout her music; influences from the timeless Carole King, Dusty Springfield, The Supremes and Aretha Franklin are some of the vinyl’s which made up Stephanie’s parent’s record collection, nurturing her into the nostalgic, musical maven she is today.

After eight years of having an absolute blast with the Puppini Sisters, Stephanie has now found a new musical direction which was ignited at the end of a concert whereby in a spur of the moment, Stephanie picked up the guitar, stepped back on stage and performed a sublime version of the Sandie Shaw classic “There’s Always Something There To Remind Me”. A million miles away from original arrangement, the once noisy bar descended into complete silence. This was a jaw dropping performance  that was felt by every person in the room that night.

Stephanie’s intimate live shows are a stripped down, rawer sound with just a guitar and loop station on stage, giving her space to experiment with her sound by adding layers of vocal harmonies; painting a palette of musical possibilities, quite literally, at her feet.

“Wolff is a gifted writer and a compelling singer. Some adventurous label should sign this guy. Purveyors of cookie-cutter pop need not apply. Wolff’s music rewards the discriminating listener” – Irwin Chusid (WFMU Radio)

“James Wolff is a truly original talent. His music is deeply honest and affecting and frequently approaches genius” – Leo Abrahams

With influences ranging from Tom Waits and Nick Cave to Jaques Brel and Leonard Cohen, ‘Not For Everyone’ is the first album by James Wolff. With 10 compelling and unique songs, stories and characters, sometimes comic, sometimes tragic but always with a lyrical turn of phrase second to none, this is ‘Not For Everyone’.
